This is one of my favorite Fall desserts it is a diamond in the rough, but the flavors are stupendous. It is a spice cake with walnuts, applesauce, crystallized ginger & once baked I pour a fresh ginger syrup over the top while still warm.At hotels and private clubs I would whip up some heavy cream with crystallized ginger to soft peaks and drape a dollop on top..Yum. Yum. A dessert that will be served at our Christmas Dinner this year.
